One of the Stockyard Institute's most recent works,
TransActions, is a publication series produced in collaboration with artist Fiona Whelan. Exploring social engagement in art both in action and conceptually, this series' first edition can be read from front to back and vice versa. Representing the cities of Duignan and Whelan—Chicago and Dublin, respectively—the two halves of the book represent the artists meeting halfway. While the second issue focuses primarily on Dublin, a forthcoming third issue will concentrate on Chicago and its future.
