Austin Walking Tour

2004 - Columbus Park

Austin Walking Tour, a project that launched as part of 2004's Version Fest themed “invisibleNetworks," was a collaborative project reuniting Duignan and Michael Piazza, with contributions from local artists and community members. The group developed a series of events, workshops, and other programming to highlight Columbus Park and stir activity within the community. A highlight of this project was a sculpture walk created by artist Rosie Presti. This project entailed repurposing conventional features of the park--such as lamp posts--into sculptures. The walking tour transformed the space into a type of gallery, allowing participants to experience the park from a new perspective.
