Graduation

Congratulations on completing all of your degree requirements! Whether you are concluding an undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate degree, we recognize the hard work and dedication that has gone into your acadmic career.

In the College of Education, we are here to guide you as you move on to pursue other goals. If you have questions regarding your Degree Progress Report, please contact your advisor to set up an appointment to be sure that all of your degree requirements have been met.

There are two parts to graduation, degree conferral and commencement*:

Degree Conferral is the awarding of the degrees at the end of each term and is a process that you will need to complete yourself through Campus Connect.  A degree conferral application is required for your degree to be posted on your transcripts and for a diploma to be mailed to you.

Commencement is held once a year in June and is optional. If you plan to attend, you must submit a cap and gown order.  The College of Education holds an Honors Convocation the week before commencement. For further information please visit the Commencement website.

*Participating in the commencement ceremony is optional and does not equate to degree completion. In some cases, students may be eligible to walk in the ceremony before completing all academic requirements. It is a student’s responsibility to review their Degree Progress Report to ensure they are on track to complete the requirements and verify their completion term. Students may apply for degree conferral in Campus Connect; please be aware that submitting an online application does not guarantee a degree will be granted from DePaul University. Additionally, regardless of participation at commencement, students will not receive a diploma until all outstanding financial obligations have been fulfilled. Students should contact their Academic Advisors and DePaul Central with questions.
