Academic Advising

Academic advisors provide assistance and guidance in all aspects of a new student's graduate program; they also offer field and career-related advice. You should become acquainted with your academic advisor when you begin your graduate program and meet with your advisor regularly while pursuing your degree.  We encourage you to work closely with your advisor to plan workable educational goals, become familiar with your degree options and requirements, and  understand any professional credentialling requirements that may be required in your field.

The Academic Success Center serves the needs of individual students as they pursue a degree and prepare to work in schools. They provide a range of services, from single tutoring sessions to a full menu of support (including tutoring, study skill workshops, test preparation, individual assessment, academic counseling and support and study groups.)

Office of Field Experiences and Student Teaching

Field experiences are an integral component of the Teacher Education program - they are designed to complement many of its core courses. Through these experiences, teacher candidates develop the knowledge, skills and dispositions of the Urban Professional Multicultural Educator, upon which the College of Education's conceptual framework is based.  These experiences also enable students to make connections within schools, leading to a successful student teaching experience and future career in education.​

The Office of Financial Aid helps you and your family find methods for meeting graduate education costs.  To qualify for government aid, as well as DePaul scholarships, you must submit the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. Student Financial Accounts

The Office of Student Financial Accounts can help you manage your DePaul tuition accounts.  It provides a number of web-based services, including electronic bill viewing, online bill payment and debt counseling. Financial counselors are also available to advise students on account management, payment plans and general financial assistance.​
