Requirements
- Must be an admitted and enrolled student in a College of Education graduate degree program; licensure, Masters, or Doctoral.
- Must ideally have two full quarters remaining before graduation when applying.
Areas of Outreach and Expectations for Student Ambassadors
- Attend events: Ambassadors are encouraged to attend one event every quarter, depending on scheduling and availability.
- Respond to emails from prospective students: Prospective students will email you questions through an ambassador inbox, and we ask that you respond to inquiries within 48 hours (Monday-Friday).
- Website information: Your name, picture, program and a brief bio will appear on the graduate ambassador website.
Student Ambassador Role at Events
- Help with setup, check-in and other event logistics.
- Participate in panels as a current student representative.
- Moderate chats and manage questions for online events
- Interact with prospective students by email, phone or in person. Answer questions about DePaul, the admissions process and your experience as a College of Education student.
Training
Student Ambassadors are required to attend training sessions if they are selected for the position. These sessions are hosted on a monthly basis and ambassadors are expected to attend only one session before starting the role. Additional, quarterly professional development training/team meetings may be held throughout the academic school year.
