Requirements
- Must be an admitted and enrolled student in a College of Education graduate degree program; licensure, Masters, or Doctoral.
- Must have at least two full quarters remaining before graduation when applying.
Areas of Outreach and Expectations for Student Ambassadors
- Student Ambassadors must attend at least one prospective student event per quarter, such as bi-monthly Information Sessions.
- Ambassadors will also be asked to attend and assist with at least one additional event each quarter, such as Graduate Student Open Houses, Academic Spotlights, or New Graduate Student Orientations.
- All Student Ambassadors will have their name, picture, program of study, and brief background information posted on the Graduate Ambassador website. Prospective students email via a secure system, which is sent to student ambassadors’ DePaul email addresses for response within 48 hours (Monday-Friday).
Student Ambassador Role at Events
- Assist with setup, check-in, other event logistics
- Participate in panels as a current student representative
- Help moderate chats and manage questions for online events
- Interact by email, phone, or in-person with prospective and current students, to answer questions about DePaul and share your student experience with Admissions and the College of Education
Training
Student Ambassadors are required to go through on online training session in DePaul’s D2L system. This includes scheduling a training session with Graduate Admissions after they are selected for the position. Additional, quarterly professional development trainings/team meetings may be held throughout the academic school year.
