Megan Krone

Megan Krone teaches physical education courses in the College of Education's Teacher Education, Kinesiology and Educational Studies program, starting in 2018 as an adjunct faculty member, and then moving into a full-time role in 2024. Prior to her full-time teaching role, she worked in various teaching, administrative, and support roles in higher education, mainly in Campus Recreation, including two years working with the club sport teams and organizations at DePaul.

Megan's academic and professional interests are focused on holistic wellness, education as a practice of freedom, and accessible, inclusive, and equitable learning environments. Megan is also a member of the editorial board for the Recreational Sports Journal and co-chairs the associate board for 826CHI, a non-profit creative writing, tutoring, and publishing center dedicated to amplifying the voices of Chicago youth.
