If the irregular hours and night shifts of a hospital work environment are beginning to wear on you, if you are yearning for a schedule that better matches that of your school-age children, or if you are simply looking for more regular hours and work-life balance, the School Nurse Endorsement program could be the solution you need. Licensed nurses interested in transferring their skills to a new setting are encouraged to apply to the College of Education program in partnership with DePaul’s preeminent School of Nursing.
Designed to be completed in one academic year (nine months), the School Nurse Endorsement program coursework is completed entirely online. In the final quarter of the program, students participate in an 11-week internship experience supervised by a certified school nurse and supported by the Office of Community Partnerships and Student Internships.
