Get Involved

For years, the Penedo Program has provided the resources for young women to overcome their challenging circumstances. Now, having become a part of the DePaul University College of Education, the program is in an even greater position to advance its mission. It is through the generous support of volunteers and donors that the program can continue to make a difference in the lives of its young participants. The Penedo Program invites you to take part in making the difference.

Donate

The Penedo Program gladly accepts monetary contributions to the College’s fund for the participants who complete the program. Your generous gift will aid in the cost of materials, resources, and tuition for participants.

Volunteer

The Penedo Program at the Education and Counseling Center is looking for new partnerships with individuals and organizations. From becoming a mentor to donating courses or tours to in-kind donations of services or materials, the program appreciates all methods of involvement! Please contact Program Manager, Kathy Iwashima at kiwashim@depaul.edu.

Participate

Each year, a new cohort of sixth grade young women is inducted into the program. To be considered for a cohort or for more information about becoming involved, please contact Program Manager, Kathy Iwashima at kiwashim@depaul.edu.
