Welcome to the nominations page for the DePaul University College of Education Awards.
These awards recognize individuals who embody the college’s values and mission, demonstrating significant achievements in the fields of education and counseling and making meaningful contributions to society. The awards program celebrates the past achievements of alumni and current school/agency partners of COE, fosters connections within the DePaul University community, and enhances the continuous growth and reputation of the college.
The Distinguished Alumni Impact Award
The Distinguished Alumni Impact Award honors College of Education alumni who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to education, counseling, and their communities. Through transformational leadership, volunteerism, philanthropy, and mentoring, these individuals embody Vincentian values by addressing systemic challenges, advancing equity, and driving meaningful change. Whether shaping education policy, fostering community growth, or directly impacting lives, awardees inspire progress and leave a profound, lasting legacy that uplifts individuals and communities alike.
The Vincentian Partnership Excellence Award
The Vincentian Partnership Excellence Award recognizes a current DePaul University school/agency partner or individual who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to fostering the professional and personal growth of College of Education students. This award celebrates outstanding partnerships that provide invaluable resources, mentorship, and learning opportunities, while aligning with the College of Education’s mission to nurture future educators, leaders, and counselors. Honorees exemplify Vincentian values through their dedication to creating transformative educational experiences, advancing the fields of education and counseling, and shaping the next generation of leaders who will make a lasting impact on their communities.
Early Career Alumni Achievement Award
The Early Career Alumni Achievement Award recognizes the accomplishments of College of Education alumni who completed their degrees within the past ten years. These individuals have demonstrated promise in their professional fields and a dedication to community service in both their personal and professional lives. This award highlights their early professional achievements and their ongoing dedication to enhancing educational practices, supporting student development, and promoting well-being within their communities. To be considered for one of this year's COE awards, submit your nomination packet no later than September 21. Submit correspondence about the awards to The Office of Alumni Relations at dpalumni@depaul.edu with COE Awards in the subject line. The appointed committee members will review the nominations and recommend their choice to the dean for final approval. The award will be presented during the current academic year.
To be included in the nomination packet (All items are to be solicited and gathered by the nominator):
- Nomination Form: For The Distinguished Alumni Impact Award and the Early Career Alumni Achievement Award, potential nominees are limited to alumni from the College of Education at DePaul University. For The Vincentian Partnership Excellence Award, nominees are limited to alumni and current DePaul University school/agency partners of the College of Education at DePaul University. A DePaul University community member other than the candidate must be the nominator.
- Current resume or curriculum vitae of the nominee - if available.
- A nomination statement of no more than two pages that briefly states how the candidate fulfills the award criteria and why he/she/they should be considered for the honor.
Please ensure that all nominations include detailed justifications for each candidate, highlighting how their achievements align with the specific criteria of the chosen award.
