Outreach Programs

The School of Education maintains many important relationships with programs and organizations dedicated to teaching and learning.
  • GEARUP Program—the Chicago Education Alliance, including DePaul University, serves middle schools in this federally-funded program designed to improve academic potential.
  • PLuS—a comprehensive program designed to assist those students with specific learning disabilities and/or attention deficit disorders in experiencing academic success at DePaul University.
  • The Reading & Learning Lab— at DePaul University offers diagnostic testing of reading skills and performance, and academic tutoring for elementary and secondary students experiencing reading and/or learning difficulties. For more information click here.
  • The Stockyard Institute—a reasonable, critical place for the pursuit of ideas, experimentation, and change.
  • Student Tutoring Program—tutors from this program work in classes throughout Chicago.
