Graduate Information Sessions
Initial Teacher Certification Programs: Information Sessions
Thinking of becoming certified to teach?
The Department of Teacher Education offers master's level programs in early childhood, elementary or secondary education. A dual certification program in elementary education and special education is also available.
These information sessions give an in depth description of the certification programs at DePaul. If you have a Bachelor's Degree in a field other than education and are interested in teaching, we recommend attending one of the following sessions. The meetings begin promptly and last approximately two hours.
Advanced Master's Programs: Information Sessions
The Department of Leadership in Education, Language and Human Services offers advanced programs for practicing educators and those who wish to pursue professional development opportunities in education and human services. The department offers programs in:
- Bilingual-Bicultural Education, M.A. or M.Ed.
- Curriculum Studies, M.A. or M.Ed.
- Educational Leadership, M.A. or M.Ed.
- Human Services and Counseling, M.A. or M.Ed.
- Special Education (Language, Literacy, & Specialized Instruction) M.A. or M.Ed.
The Department of Educational Policy Studies and Research (EPSR) offers advanced studies for those who wish to examine educational theories, institutions, practices, policies, and the complex, dynamic interplay between the individual, society and sociocultural processes that unfolds in multiple educational contexts. The department offers programs in:
- Social and Cultural Foundations in Education, M.A.
Doctoral Programs: Information Sessions
The School of Education offers a high quality educational environment for educators who wish to pursue professional development opportunities at the doctoral level. The program contains two strands:
- Curriculum Studies, Ed.D.
- Educational Leadership, Ed.D.
