Jennifer Mata-McMahon

Dr. Mata-McMahon earned her doctoral degree in early childhood education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2010, and has worked in this field since 1995. She is the coauthor of Ambiente en Acción (Environment in Action) (2006), author of Spiritual Experiences in Early Childhood Education (2015), and coeditor of Spirituality: An Interdisciplinary View (2016), as well as the author and coauthor of several book chapters and journal articles. Her research interests focus on the social, emotional, moral, and spiritual domains of the child, in the context of education, as well as in the fields of teacher preparation and bilingual education.
