  • SOE scholarships are available for enrolled SOE students only.  If you are not currently enrolled in the School of Education, you are ineligible to apply.
  • The SOE scholarship online application will be available until Thursday, December 31st, 2009.
  • Scholarship awards will be applied to the 2010-2011 academic year.

Undergraduate Scholarships:

The Elsie Luhan Scholarship:
The Elsie Luhan Scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in the School of Education with financial need who demonstrates promise as a secondary education mathematics teacher. The essay portion of the application must be completed online. You will be asked to answer the following questions: "How has DePaul prepared you to become an Urban, Multicultural Educator in secondary education? What are your personal and professional goals in the field of education and how will this scholarship help you achieve these goals?"

The Elsie Luhan Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
  • Undergraduate student
  • Enrolled in the School of Education
  • Enrolled in the Secondary Math Education program
  • Cumulative DePaul GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Financial need
  • Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships:

    The George and Mary Heerey Cucich Memorial Scholarship:
    The George and Mary Heerey Cucich Scholarship will provide aid and recognition to a student enrolled in the School of Education at DePaul University that maintains, at minimum, a C+ grade point average. The essay portion of the application must be completed online. You will be asked to answer the following question: "What are your personal and professional goals in the field of education and how will this scholarsip help you achieve these goals?"

    The George and Mary Heerey Cucich Memorial Scholarship Eligibility Critera:
  • Undergraduate or Graduate student
  • Financial need
  • Ability to maintain a C+ grade point average
  • The Olichweir Scholarship
    The Olichweir Scholarship supports a graduate of St. Rita's High School in Chicago, IL. The essay portion of the application must be completed online. You will be asked to answer the following question: "What are your personal and professional goals in the field of education and how will this scholarsip help you achieve these goals?"
    The Olichweir Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
  • Undergraduate or Graduate student
  • Must be a graduate of St. Rita's High School in Chicago, IL.
  • The Delila Mae Stewart Scholarship:
    The Delila Mae Stewart Scholarship supports a student who has an outstanding academic record, who exemplifies the conceptual model of the School of Education in their commitment to serving the multicultural, urban community, has overcome obstacles and hardship, and has demonstrated financial need. The essay portion of the application must be completed online. You will be asked to answer the following question: "What are your personal and professional goals in the field of education and how will this scholarship help you achieve these goals?"
    The Delila Mae Stewart Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
  • Undergraduate or Graduate student
  • Undergraduates must be in the top 20% of their high school class or on the Dean's list at DePaul.
  • Committed to serving an urban, multicultural community
  • History of overcoming personal or educational obstacles or hardships
  • Financial need
  • Graduate Scholarships

    The Emily V. Zeman Fellowship:
    The Emily V. Zeman Fellowship is awarded to a graduate student with demonstrated financial need who is currently teaching in either the Archdiocese of Chicago or in the Chicago Public Schools. The essay portion of the application must be completed online. You will be asked to answer the following question: "What are your personal and professional goals in the field of education and how will this scholarsip help you achieve these goals?"
    Emily V. Zeman Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
  • Graduate student
  • Enrolled in the School of Education
  • Currently teaching in CPS or Chicago Archdiocese school
  • Financial need
