School of Education
The Department of Leadership in Education, Language and Human Services is a multidisciplinary academic body that aims to fully prepare urban multicultural professional practitioners and leaders to work in a variety of educational and community settings.
The Department offers graduate programs in Bilingual-Bicultural Education, Curriculum Studies, Educational Leadership, Human Services and Counseling, and Language, Literacy and Specialized Instruction.
Working in concert with the Chicago Public Schools and the Archdiocese of Chicago, the School of Education has established Professional Development Schools Network, a novel educational concept designed to enhance prekindergarten-12th grade education while providing a creative environment for teacher training and professional faculty development.
