School of Education Committees

The School of Education Faculty Council has established four standing committees:

Faculty Development Committee 

The Faculty Development Committee provides support for faculty of the school in regard to mentoring and professional development. It also selects recipients of the Excellence in Teaching Award.

Curriculum Committee 

The Curriculum Committee initiates and reviews proposals for major changes in the curriculum of the School of Education, especially new programs and degree requirements for established programs.

Faculty Personnel Committee 

The Faculty Personnel Committee implements personnel policies for those tenure-track faculty seeking tenure and/or promotion.

Local Review Board (LRB)

The Local Review Board ensures that research participants are at minimal risk and are aware of their rights of participation, including informed consent and the right to withdraw from a project at any time. The LRB advises both those submitting proposal and the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of DePaul University
