Part-time Positions

The School of Education seeks applications for part-time faculty members and student teaching supervisors for the coming academic year and beyond. The School of Education actively seeks to build and maintain a diverse faculty. In addition the school seeks faculty members who bring critical perspectives to the issues of urban education, multiculturalism, reflective practice, and social justice. DePaul University is committed to diversity and equality in education and employment.

The School of Education at DePaul University maintains several campus locations: Lincoln Park in Chicago. O’Hare, South Suburban, and Naperville. Teaching assignments depend on programmatic requirements. Evening and daytime classes are available. Required qualifications: Earned doctorate, ABD, or master’s degree with substantial experience in education; recent experience in working with culturally diverse urban populations; commitment to urban education; excellence in teaching or documented potential through professional development or other educational experiences.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Please send: letter of application clearly delineating qualification for areas of expertise; a complete and up-to-date vita; official transcripts; one example of recent professional publication/ presentation; a one-page statement of philosophy of teaching; and three to five professional letters of reference sent directly.
