A syllabus is an important communication tool. Through your syllabus, you inform your students not only of course requirements, but of other essentials such as the College's philosophy (conceptual framework), the program's performance standards, university policies, etc. College of Education instructors must use a consistent format for their syllabi so that all critical information is communicated in systematic ways.
