Action In Education

Being a School of Education graduate means staying in touch with the School of Education! 

Action in Education is a quarterly newsletter that helps our SOE alumni and friends stay connected to the latest news about the SOE and DePaul University. It informs our readers of a variety of activities and news items about SOE alumni, faculty, staff, SOE policies, procedures, and changes, and DePaul University as a whole.

Action in Education highlights the accomplishments of you, our SOE alumni! It focuses on the kindness and charity of our alumni as well as the rewards earned—products of their hard work and dedication to education.  The newsletter also provides information on networking events that bring SOE alumni together as well as profiles on former classmates.

Action in Education inspires readers with alternative ways of interacting with parents, the youth they serve, and the Chicago schools through programs, ideas, and initiatives presented in the newsletter. To end each issue, the Dean of the School of Education discusses the progress of the SOE and its goals. Near or far, the School of Education wants you to continue to be apart of its advancement and achievements.

Please note:  As of the academic year 2007-2008, Action In Education will be published quarterly to better communicate news about the School of Education to our alumni and friends.
