If you were previously admitted to DePaul but have been absent for more than one year, you must submit the application form and transcripts of any courses taken elsewhere during your absence. If the original application has been destroyed (after an absence of two years), you will be required to resubmit the entire application following the current admission requirements for the program.
Students applying for readmission are required to submit the following:
- College of Education application
- $10.00 application fee
- Transcripts from any courses taken elsewhere during absence
- Students are required to submit any additional materials required for the program at the time of readmission.

Basic Admission Requirements
Doctoral Program Readmission Requirements
In order to be readmitted to the Educational Doctorate program please submit the following to the Office of Graduate Admission:
- College of Education application
- $10.00 application fee
- Statement of Purpose explaining, in some detail why you became discontinued and why things will be different if readmitted. The admissions committee expects compelling reasons for being readmitted to the program.
- Letter of support from a full-time faculty member who taught you in the Ed.D program or a letter of support from your dissertation committee chair. The letter should provide compelling reasons for why you should be readmitted to the program. A letter that merely states you completed a course and the grade earned is not suffiicent.
