The Center for Educational Technology (CET) supports and promotes technological initiatives that enhance student access and engagement in the classroom, as well as faculty excellence in the integration of educational technology into their teaching and their research agendas.

Mission Statement

The Center for Educational Technology (CET) promotes the enhancement of knowledge and the use of technology resources by the faculty and staff of the College of Education. Its mission is to provide support of the day-to-day educational technology needs of faculty and staff and to provide leadership in the advanced use of that technology in the academic preparation of current and future education and counseling professionals. The Center strives to ensure that all faculty and staff understand and use technological resources to their fullest, most equitable and just potential and prepare current and future education and counseling professionals to do the same.

Purpose

The Center for Educational Technology provides professional development in educational technology for all faculty and staff; supports educational technology research; and acquires and maintains educational technology equipment and resources in the College of Education.

Objectives

• Establish and maintain the COE as a national leader in educational technology use.
• Foster the knowledge, skills, and dispositions essential for faculty and staff to integrate into their professional and academic endeavors appropriate, meaningful, and socially equitable and just uses of educational technology.
• Supports the preparation of graduates to integrate into their professional endeavors appropriate, meaningful, and socially equitable and just uses of educational technology.
• Strategically promote and support the growth of online and hybrid instruction in the COE.
